Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 cups peeled and chopped apples
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour one 9x13 inch pan.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the yogurt.
- Fold in the apples. Pour into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 40 to 50 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a knife inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Cool before serving.
