Ingredients

  • 1/2 gallon apple cider
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1/4 cup brandy (optional)

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the apple cider, brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice, and ginger. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add the orange slices and brandy, if desired, and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  3. Pour the wassail punch into mugs and serve.
