Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Stir in vinegar and sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  4. In a small bowl, beat eggs until light and fluffy.
  5. Add baking soda and salt to eggs and mix well.
  6. Slowly add egg mixture to boiling vinegar and sugar, stirring constantly.
  7. Pour mixture into pie shell.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until set.
