Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Cream together butter, sugar and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
- In a separate bowl, sift together cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and flour.
- Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until combined.
- Stir in semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Press cookie dough into a greased 9x13 inch pan.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until done.
- Meanwhile, melt together the heavy cream and milk chocolate chips, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Spread melted chocolate over cookie bars.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
