Ingredients
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Monterey Jack cheese
Directions
- In a small bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and sugar. Stir until the yeast is dissolved and let the mixture stand for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and olive oil. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture. Stir until everything is well blended.
- On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for about 5 minutes, then shape it into a ball. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F. Grease a 12-inch pizza pan.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and place it on the prepared pan. Spread the tomato sauce over the dough and top with the olives, bell peppers, mushrooms, and cheeses.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Slice the pizza and serve warm. Enjoy!
