Ingredients

  • 4 large apples, peeled and cored
  • 2 tablespoons vegan butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup vegan margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease a 9-inch square baking dish with vegan butter.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. Stuff each apple with the sugar mixture and place in the baking dish.
  4. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, vegan margarine, oats, and sugar until crumbly.
  5. Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the apples, then pour the melted vegan butter over the top.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
