Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup of chopped pistachios
  • 1/2 cup of raisins
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cardamom
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 pound of puff pastry, thawed but cold
  • 1/2 cup of whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons of honey

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine almonds, pistachios, raisins, sugar, cardamom, butter, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Mix until well combined.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together cream and milk. Add to the nut mixture and stir until combined.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry to a 12-inch (30 cm) square. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Spread the nut mixture over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch (2.5 cm) border. Fold the edges of the pastry over the nut mixture, crimping them to seal.
  6. Brush the top of the pastry with the honey. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
