Ingredients
- 1 (18-ounce) package chocolate cake mix, plus ingredients to make the cake
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup marshmallow cream
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Prepare cake mix according to package directions and spread into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- Bake for 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and cool completely.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Add sugar and vanilla and beat until combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips, marshmallow cream, and pecans.
- Pour over cooled cake layer and spread evenly.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until set.
- Cool completely and spread melted chocolate chips over the top.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
