Ingredients

  • 1 (18-ounce) package chocolate cake mix, plus ingredients to make the cake
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup marshmallow cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Prepare cake mix according to package directions and spread into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Bake for 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. Remove from oven and cool completely.
  5. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. Add sugar and vanilla and beat until combined.
  7. Stir in chocolate chips, marshmallow cream, and pecans.
  8. Pour over cooled cake layer and spread evenly.
  9. Bake for 45 minutes, or until set.
  10. Cool completely and spread melted chocolate chips over the top.
  11. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
