Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until the onion is translucent. Stir in the coriander, cumin, garam masala, turmeric, and pepper and cook for about 1 minute.
Add the tomatoes, coconut milk, cilantro, and fish sauce. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Stir in the tuna and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Serve over steamed rice.
