Ingredients
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
- 2 cups of milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of orange extract
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 2 cups of stale bread cubes
- 1/2 cup of semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts
- 2 tablespoons of orange zest
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch (20 cm) square baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, cream together butter, sugar, and salt until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then add cocoa powder, milk, vanilla, orange extract, and cinnamon. Mix until smooth.
- Fold in bread cubes, chocolate chips, walnuts, and orange zest until evenly combined.
- Pour mixture into prepared baking dish and bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
- Let cool for 15 minutes before serving.
