Ingredients
- 1/2 head of cabbage, shredded
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 cup vegetable stock
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon caraway seeds
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 pound egg noodles
Directions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the onion and garlic and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the cabbage and sauté for another 5 minutes.
- Add the vegetable stock, paprika, caraway seeds, salt, and pepper and stir well.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, bring a pot of salted water to a boil over high heat.
- Add the egg noodles and cook for 8 minutes, or until al dente.
- Drain the noodles and add them to the skillet with the cabbage mixture.
- Stir well and cook until the noodles are heated through, about 2 minutes.
- Serve hot.
