Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sweetened shredded coconut
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir into creamed mixture until just blended. Stir in coconut.
- Spread mixture evenly in the prepared pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool in pan before cutting into bars.
