Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup diced bell pepper
- 1/4 cup diced celery
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce
- 1 egg
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, bell pepper, celery, garlic powder, oregano, basil, thyme, salt, pepper, ketchup, tomato sauce and egg.
- Mix together until all ingredients are well blended.
- Form into a loaf shape and place in a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- Bake for 1 hour, or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
- Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
