Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed

Directions

  1. In a large pot over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is no longer pink. Drain any fat.
  2. Add the bell peppers and jalapeno pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
  4. Add the beef broth, diced tomatoes and kidney beans. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
