Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 jalapeno pepper, chopped
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
Directions
- In a large pot over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is no longer pink. Drain any fat.
- Add the bell peppers and jalapeno pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Add the beef broth, diced tomatoes and kidney beans. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
