- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup mirin (sweet rice wine)
- 1/4 cup sake (rice wine)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
Directions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, rice vinegar, ginger, and garlic. Set aside.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until lightly browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes.
- Add the mushrooms and broccoli, and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 3 minutes.
- Pour in the soy sauce mixture and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until the sauce is thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and cilantro, and serve.
