Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beer
  • 1 large jar dill pickles, drained and sliced
  • Canola oil for frying

Directions

  1. In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the beer and whisk until smooth.
  3. Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375 degrees F.
  4. Dip the pickles in the batter and carefully add to the hot oil.
  5. Fry for about 2 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
