Ingredients
- 2 cups of pitted plums
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of brandy
- 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1 teaspoon of almond extract
Directions
- In a large bowl, mash the plums with a potato masher.
- Add the sugar, brandy, lemon juice, water, and almond extract.
- Mix until all of the ingredients are combined.
- Pour the mixture into a jar or other container and seal it.
- Place the jar in a cool, dark place for 3-4 weeks, shaking it occasionally.
- After 3-4 weeks, strain the liqueur through a cheesecloth or sieve.
- Discard the solids and pour the liqueur into bottles.
- Serve chilled or over ice.
