  • 2 cups of pitted plums
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of brandy
  • 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1 teaspoon of almond extract


  1. In a large bowl, mash the plums with a potato masher.
  2. Add the sugar, brandy, lemon juice, water, and almond extract.
  3. Mix until all of the ingredients are combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into a jar or other container and seal it.
  5. Place the jar in a cool, dark place for 3-4 weeks, shaking it occasionally.
  6. After 3-4 weeks, strain the liqueur through a cheesecloth or sieve.
  7. Discard the solids and pour the liqueur into bottles.
  8. Serve chilled or over ice.
