This tangy and sweet cranberry chutney is a perfect accompaniment for Thanksgiving dinner or as a spread on sandwiches year-round. Made with fresh cranberries, apples, spices, and a hint of orange zest, this chutney will add a burst of flavor to any dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 large apple, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, apple, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, diced onion, raisins, walnuts, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, orange zest, salt, and pepper.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until the chutney thickens.
