Ingredients
- 2 pounds of venison, cut into 1/4 inch strips
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Add the venison strips and coat them with the marinade. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 175°F.
- Line a baking sheet with foil and place the marinated venison strips on it. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the jerky for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or until the jerky is dry and slightly crisp.
- Remove the jerky from the oven and let it cool before serving.
