Ingredients

  • 3 cups of summer squash, cut into 1/4 inch slices
  • 1/2 cup of sour cream
  • 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup of chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon of dried basil
  • 1/2 cup of bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons of butter, melted

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9 inch square baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the squash, sour cream, cheese, onion, garlic powder, pepper, oregano, and basil. Mix until all ingredients are well blended.
  3. Spoon mixture into prepared baking dish. In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle over the squash mixture.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until top is golden brown and squash is tender.
