Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla and egg until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until fully combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
