Ingredients
- 1 lb asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- Oil for frying
Directions
- In a bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and Parmesan cheese.
- Working in batches, dip the asparagus pieces into the flour mixture, then into the milk mixture, then back into the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- Heat a few inches of oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat.
- Carefully add the asparagus to the hot oil in batches and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy!
