Ingredients
- 1/3 cup of molasses
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup of butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon of ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of buttermilk
- 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 9-inch unbaked pie crust
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, beat eggs until light and fluffy. Add the butter, molasses, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, salt, and sugar; mix well.
- Stir in buttermilk and flour until blended. Pour into the unbaked pie crust.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Cool before serving.
