- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chilled butter, chopped
- 1/4 cup ice water
- 2 cups fresh spinach, finely chopped
- 3 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F/190°C.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the flour and salt. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add the ice water and mix until a dough forms. Roll out the dough and place in a 9-inch pie plate. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine the spinach, bacon, eggs, cream, garlic powder, and pepper. Pour the mixture into the prepared crust.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until set.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
