Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chilled butter, chopped
  • 1/4 cup ice water
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, finely chopped
  • 3 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F/190°C.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour and salt. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add the ice water and mix until a dough forms. Roll out the dough and place in a 9-inch pie plate. Set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the spinach, bacon, eggs, cream, garlic powder, and pepper. Pour the mixture into the prepared crust.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until set.
  5. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
