Ingredients
1 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheese
1 can chili (your choice of heat)
1 tablespoon butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional garnish: diced jalapeno peppers, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, and/or additional shredded cheese
Directions
In a medium bowl, mix together the sour cream, shredded cheese, and chili.
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
Add the butter to the chili mixture and stir to combine.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Transfer the dip to an oven-safe dish and bake in a 350°F oven for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and garnish with jalapeno peppers, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, and/or additional shredded cheese.
Serve immediately with chips or crackers.
Interesting Facts
This dip can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to three days.
Feel free to experiment with different types of chili or cheese to customize the flavor!
This dip can also be served cold, without baking.
