Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs

  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, bread crumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, curry powder, ground cumin, ground coriander, red pepper flakes, salt, black pepper, chopped cilantro, yogurt, and heavy cream. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
