These flaming burritos are perfect for those who love a spicy kick in their meals. Filled with a combination of grilled chicken, beans, and cheese, these burritos are then topped with a fiery homemade sauce. The burritos are then lightly charred, giving them an extra smoky flavor. Serve them with some cooling guacamole and sour cream on the side to balance out the heat. This recipe will be a hit for any Mexican food lover!

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup cooked black beans
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Guacamole and sour cream, for serving

Directions

  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan to medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with vegetable oil, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Grill the chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Set aside to cool.
  2. Once cooled, shred the chicken using two forks. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, black beans, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper to make the flaming sauce.
  4. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Take a flour tortilla and place a generous amount of the chicken mixture in the center. Drizzle some of the flaming sauce over the filling. Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly.
  5. Place the burrito seam-side down on the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until the tortilla is lightly charred. Flip the burrito and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on the other side.
  6. Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and fillings.
  7. Serve the flaming burritos with guacamole and sour cream on the side for dipping. Enjoy!
