Ingredients
- 1 pound tri-tip steak, cut into cubes
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 can (15 ounces) chili beans
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (12 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions
- In a large pot, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add the cubed tri-tip steak and cook until browned. Remove from the pot.
- Add the chopped onions to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the chili beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and black pepper to the pot. Stir to combine.
- Add the cooked tri-tip steak to the pot and stir to combine.
- Bring the chili to a boil, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
