Ingredients

  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup gluten-free bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup flaxseed meal
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegan cheese, shredded

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (176 degrees C).
  2. In a food processor, grind walnuts and pecans until they become a fine meal.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together ground nuts, onion, bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt, pepper, nutritional yeast, chia seeds, and flaxseed meal.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together coconut oil, water, and vegan cheese until combined.
  5. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, and mix until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  6. Form mixture into 8 equal sized patties, and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  8. Serve and enjoy!
