Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or lamb
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix until evenly combined.
  3. Form the mixture into small patties, about the size of a golf ball.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the patties to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
