Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, cut into thin strips
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 cup beer
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- Vegetable oil for frying
Directions
- In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the beer, honey, soy sauce, and garlic until combined.
- Dip the chicken strips into the flour mixture, then into the beer mixture, and then back into the flour mixture.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the chicken strips and fry for about 4 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Transfer the chicken to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
- To make the glaze, in the same skillet, add the honey, soy sauce, and garlic and cook until the mixture reduces and thickens.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and toss to coat with the glaze. Serve immediately.
