Ingredients

  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley

Directions

  1. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Dredge the green beans in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1/4 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it’s shimmering. Carefully add the green beans to the hot oil and fry, stirring occasionally, until they’re golden-brown and crisp, about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the fried green beans to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Repeat with the remaining green beans.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the sour cream, lemon juice, and parsley. Serve the fried green beans with the sour cream dip on the side.
