Ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Directions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- Add the cumin, chili powder, paprika, oregano, and red pepper flakes and sauté for another minute.
- Remove the pan from the heat and let cool for a few minutes.
- Add the sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, salt, and pepper and whisk until well combined.
- Return the pan to the stove and heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce is warm.
- Serve the sauce over nachos or as a dip for chips.
