Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. fresh green beans, ends trimmed
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. In a large pot, bring 3 quarts of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add green beans and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Drain beans and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
  4. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  5. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  6. Add green beans and cook until tender, about 8-10 minutes.
  7. Stir in lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve warm.
