Ingredients
- 2 lbs. fresh green beans, ends trimmed
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
- In a large pot, bring 3 quarts of salted water to a boil.
- Add green beans and cook for 5 minutes.
- Drain beans and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add green beans and cook until tender, about 8-10 minutes.
- Stir in lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve warm.
