Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup half-and-half
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Directions
- Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the wine and bring to a boil. Simmer for 2 minutes.
- Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Whisk in the half-and-half and simmer for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add the Parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, and pepper. Simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add the shrimp and cook for 5 minutes, or until the shrimp are cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
