Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

  1. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  2. Add the wine and bring to a boil. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  3. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Whisk in the half-and-half and simmer for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Add the Parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, and pepper. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Add the shrimp and cook for 5 minutes, or until the shrimp are cooked through.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
