Ingredients
6 medium apples
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions
Wash and dry the apples, then insert a wooden stick into the stem end of each apple.
In a medium saucepan, combine the corn syrup, sugar, salt, and cream. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil.
Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Dip each apple into the caramel sauce and roll it around to coat. Place the apples on a baking sheet lined with waxed paper.
Sprinkle each apple with desired toppings.
Let the apples cool completely before serving.
