Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 cups milk
- 1 (10-ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli, thawed and drained
- 2 cups frozen corn kernels, thawed
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour, salt, pepper and cayenne; cook and stir until bubbly, about 5 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly until sauce thickens, about 10 minutes.
- Stir in broccoli, corn and cheese. Pour into prepared baking dish.
- Bake uncovered in preheated oven until bubbly and lightly browned, 30 to 40 minutes.
