Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix until blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the brown sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until blended.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
