Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sago pearls
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup Gula Melaka syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. In a pot, bring the water to a boil. Add in the sago pearls and let it simmer for 15 minutes or until the sago pearls are soft.
  2. Strain the sago pearls and set aside.
  3. In a clean pot, add the Gula Melaka syrup, coconut milk, and salt. Stir until combined.
  4. Add the sago pearls back to the pot and stir until combined. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Serve the sago pudding with Gula Melaka warm or cold.
