Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons rose water
- 1/2 cup dried rose petals, plus extra for garnish
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
- In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, then stir in the rose water. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
- Gently stir in the rose petals. Roll the dough into walnut sized balls, and place them 2 inches apart on the prepared cookie sheets.
