Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of whole milk
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of dark rum
  • Ground cinnamon, for garnish

Directions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs until light and fluffy.
  2. In a large saucepan, combine the milk, sweetened condensed milk, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, cloves, and vanilla extract.
  3. Whisk the egg mixture into the milk mixture, stirring constantly.
  4. Cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture is thick and creamy.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the rum.
  6. Pour the eggnog into a pitcher. Let cool before serving.
  7. Garnish with ground cinnamon, if desired.
