Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of whole milk
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup of dark rum
- Ground cinnamon, for garnish
Directions
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs until light and fluffy.
- In a large saucepan, combine the milk, sweetened condensed milk, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, cloves, and vanilla extract.
- Whisk the egg mixture into the milk mixture, stirring constantly.
- Cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture is thick and creamy.
- Remove from heat and stir in the rum.
- Pour the eggnog into a pitcher. Let cool before serving.
- Garnish with ground cinnamon, if desired.
