Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup red wine

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in red wine.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Drop dough by tablespoons onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and centers are set.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
