Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup Katsu sauce

Directions

  1. Cut the chicken into thin strips.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, ground ginger, and thyme.
  3. In a separate shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs.
  4. In a third shallow bowl, add the Panko bread crumbs.
  5. Dredge each chicken strip in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat with the Panko bread crumbs.
  6. Heat the vegetable oil in an air-fryer. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken strips and cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Once the chicken is cooked through, remove from the air-fryer and let cool.
  8. Serve the chicken with the Katsu sauce.
