Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup Katsu sauce
Directions
- Cut the chicken into thin strips.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, ground ginger, and thyme.
- In a separate shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs.
- In a third shallow bowl, add the Panko bread crumbs.
- Dredge each chicken strip in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat with the Panko bread crumbs.
- Heat the vegetable oil in an air-fryer. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken strips and cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Once the chicken is cooked through, remove from the air-fryer and let cool.
- Serve the chicken with the Katsu sauce.
