Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt. Stir in the chopped spinach until evenly distributed.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry into a 12-inch (30-cm) square. Cut into four 6-inch (15-cm) squares.
Spoon 1/4 of the ricotta mixture onto the center of each square. Fold the pastry over the filling to form a triangle and press the edges to seal. Place the calzones on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush the tops of the calzones with the beaten egg. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and cool for 5 minutes before serving.
