Ingredients
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Directions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, water, honey or brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using).
- Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add your choice of protein (such as chicken, beef, shrimp, or tofu) and cook until browned.
- Remove the protein from the wok and set aside.
- In the same wok, add some oil and heat it up.
- Add your choice of vegetables (such as bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, and snow peas) and stir fry for a few minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return the protein to the wok and pour the stir fry sauce over the ingredients.
- Stir fry everything together for another minute or until the sauce has thickened and coats all the ingredients.
- Serve hot with rice or noodles.
