Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add milk and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  5. Spread half of the dough in the greased baking dish and sprinkle half of the sugar mixture on top.
  6. Spread the remaining dough over the sugar mixture and top with the remaining sugar mixture.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
