Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
In a large bowl, beat together the melted butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until creamy.
Mix in the crushed pineapple.
In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet, mixing until just combined.
Stir in the chopped pecans.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Allow to cool before serving.
