Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
- In a large bowl, beat together the melted butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until creamy.
- Mix in the crushed pineapple.
- In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving.
