Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
Combine the baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour; stir into the creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Fold in the nuts and dried fruits.
Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool cake in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
