Ingredients

  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Directions

  1. Season the tilapia fillets with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tilapia and cook until golden and cooked through, about 3 minutes per side.
  3. Remove the tilapia to a plate and set aside.
  4. Add the garlic and butter to the skillet and cook until the garlic is fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Add the flour and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute more.
  6. Add the chicken broth and whisk to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 2 minutes.
  7. Add the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese and stir until combined. Simmer for 2 minutes more.
  8. Add the tilapia back to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
