Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chopped peanuts
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the peanut butter and milk. Beat in the flour mixture until just blended.
- Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan and sprinkle with chopped peanuts. Bake for 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
Interesting Facts
- Peanut Butter Loaf is a great way to use up extra peanut butter.
- Adding chopped peanuts to the top of the loaf adds a nice extra crunch!
- It can double as a breakfast bread too, just add a little extra sugar.
